postmarked) 5 days prior to the start of the course. A
cancellation fee equal to 25% of the course
fee will be assessed. Written cancellations
received less that 5 working days prior to the event will
be charged the cancellation fee plus the per-person cost.
No-shows responsible for payment. Substitutes and
re-scheduling are welcome without penalty. (Please
allow up to 2 weeks for any refunds).

500 - Trainer Course in OSHA Standards for the
Construction Industry
Class #510 is a prerequisite.
This course is designed for persons
in the private sector interested in developing safety and
health programs in the construction industry. Special
emphasis will be placed on those areas in construction
that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a
guide. Course participants will also be taught effective
training techniques. Participants who successfully
complete the course and pass a multiple choice test will
become outreach trainers, authorized to conduct both 10
and 30 hour construction courses. OSHA's 29 CFR 1926
Construction Industry Standard will be provided. |

501 - Trainer Course in OSHA Standards for the General
Industry
Class #511 is a prerequisite.
This course is designed for private
sector personnel from all types of industries to present
detailed information on how the provisions of the
Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act may be
implemented in the workplace. Rights and responsibilities
under the OSH Act, the appeals process, recordkeeping, and
voluntary protection programs are covered. The course
also includes an introduction to OSHA's General Industry
standards and an overview of the requirements of the more
frequently referenced standards. Participants who
successfully complete the course and pass a multiple
choice test will become outreach trainers, authorized to
conduct both 10 and 30 hour General Industry courses.

5400 – Train the Trainer Course in
Maritime Safety Standards
The course has been
designed for all people working in the Maritime Industry
who either want to learn more about workplace safety and
health hazard recognition or who want to become OSHA
authorized trainers for the 10 and 30 hour Maritime
courses. Special emphasis is placed
on those areas in the
Maritime industry that are the most hazardous, using the
OSHA 29 CFR 1915; 1917; and 1918 standards as a resource.
Course participants who successfully complete the course
and pass a final exam will become OSHA Authorized Maritime
Outreach Trainers, authorized to conduct both the 10 and
30 hour Maritime outreach courses.
NOTE:
Prerequisites for this course (Refunds will not be issued

5600 – Disaster Site Worker Train the Trainer Course
This goal of this course is to
prepare experienced trainers to present Disaster Site
Worker (OSHA 7600). Trainers are given the opportunity to
practice knowledge, skills and attitudes through
discussion, planned exercises, demonstrations and
presentations. Participants receive lesson plans and
training materials for the Disaster Site Worker Course as
well as information on training techniques and resources.
Trainers will be expected to present a selected portion of
the Disaster Site Worker Course and to use a “Presentation
Evaluation” sheet to evaluate other presenters.
Prerequisites:
